Clarins Cleansing Milk & Toning Lotion

I’ve been tweeking my skincare routine recently as when you reach your 30’s you need to start using more anti age products. My cleanser and toner were used up so the cleanser I had been using was a cream wash. I find a cream wash ok for Summer but I prefer a cream cleanser for Winter. I bought the Clarins Anti Pollution Cleansing Milk and Clarins Toning Lotion to try as they are richer and better suited against the winter conditions.

Clarins Lait Démaquillant Velours Anti Pollution

This cleanser is suitable for combination to oily skin.It has a lovely rich creamy texture which makes it great for taking off makeup, especially more stubborn makeup. It is quite perfumed though so if you are very sensitive to strongly perfumed products then you might not like it. For this reason I also wouldn’t use it around the eye area as it may irritate. I love the soft velvety feel to the skin after I have used it, there is no tightness and it has a dewy look. I think this will definitely be my winter cleanser. I think it might be a bit heavy for the summer but its perfect for the cold weather in winter where the conditions really dry out the skin. It comes in a 200ml bottle and retails at €22.00

Clarins Lotion Tonique

This contains iris and is alcohol free which means it shouldn’t dry out the skin. It is also suitable for combination to oily skin. It has a lovely cooling feeling on the skin and works really well to remove the last traces of cleanser. It has a very light fragrance which is good as the cleanser is pretty heavily fragranced. It also comes in a 200ml bottle and retails at €22.00.

I really love both of these products, although I think the cleanser might be a bit too rich for someone in their 20’s especially if you have more oily than combination skin. The toner seems like it would be suitable for all ages though. I think these products will definitely continue as part of my winter routine.

Hope you have a great day!xx
